New Year's Resolutions 2009

A year passed is a year lost. At the end of a year, I would often look back and reflect on the hits & misses of that year.

With 2008 gone for good, we should really look forward to and plan for 2009.

I have not been able to keep up with some of my resolutions made for 2008, so I shall strive to accomplish them this year.

My resolutions for 2009 are:

1) ENJOY life more!
Do things that I enjoy doing without the guilt. Afterall, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Feeling guilty about attending pottery lessons, as I should be marking tonnes of worksheets, is not right, and not healthy. Life is really more than just work. Though it's important, our body, mind and soul still need a balance. But in order to do so, I have to...

2) Be more organized
In terms of time management, I would like to get things done in a more effective & efficient way so that I can have more time for leisure. I have the tendency to procrastinate stuff that I am supposed to complete, which resulted in not having time to complete many other things. Example, updating of blogs which I actually quite enjoy doing... =(

3) Get fit (Note: Not "Stay Fit")
I am no longer fit to start with. My target is to pass my IPPT after 7 years (of failing it)! =D Good fitness would allow me to carry out Resolution 2, and in turn would allow me to achieve Resolution 1! =D

4) Spend more time with family & friends
They are one very important group of people, otherwise I would be "so poor that I only have money left" at old age. Family & friends make a person complete, not work for me definitely. Sundays are not meant for marking worksheets or what not. Hahaha... ;)

5) Learn/do something new
a) Participate in volunteer work such as helping out with the elderly. They might just teach u a thing or two on the meaning of life. Do something purposeful. =)
b) Learn photography! I shall get myself a DSLR camera this year and start learning the art of photography! I am looking at Canon and Nikon, who's willing to sponsor my purchase? =D

6) Saving up!
For important purposes of course! =D

7) Others
This space is reserved for future addition. ;)

What are your New Year's Resolutions? Write your reflections in your blog as your 1st assignment of the year! Cheers! =D

P.S. "Resolution" means firmness or determination, and/or a decision to do something
