Class @ Work

I have not been taking as much photos as last year. Maybe not yet.

I am looking for occasions where I can whip out my digital camera and start taking photos again.

Two excursions are coming up. First one is on 13 Feb and we'll be visiting Bukit Chandu to observe a memorial service. This memorial service commemorates the fall of Sinapore to the Japanese on 15 Feb 1942. Then we'll proceed to view the Old Ford Factory where the British surrendered Malaya and Singapore there on that fateful day. The visit to these two places will be done during school hours.

The second one is on 26 Feb. We are going to Science Centre to study phases of the moon & eclipses. I hope they have better animation and equipment to help everyone understand:

1) Rotation of the Earth about its own axis, in 24 hours, causes day and night,

2) Revolution of the Moon around the Earth, in 28 days, causes the change in the phases of the moon, and

3) Revolution of the Earth around the Sun, in 365 days, causes the change in seasons, i.e. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

It is disappointing to note that many of u are confused with the meanings of rotation and revolution.

Till then, maybe not much photos to show off for now.

I'll find time to add a shout box, post messages on the message scroll and put up all your blog links here.

Stay tune! (",)

Class of 5.7 2008

Chilli 'n' Ketchup is alive! =D

I am Mr Alan Tan and "Chilli-In-Ketchup" is me! This means I can be both extremely spicy and extremely sweet! Hence, the name for this blog! This is our new class, 5.7, and I am pleased to be your form teacher this year. =) In case u are not aware, 5.7 is my third form class in Anderson Primary School.

My vision for our class is simple - A disciplined and self-directed model class. This is also going to be our common goal! Our 5 classroom rules clearly reflect my aspiration:

1) Be ready to work the moment you enter the classroom.
2) Hand in assignments punctually.
3) One conversation – Listen when someone is speaking.
4) Treat everyone and their property with respect.
5) Always project a "Cool, Calm & Steady" image.

In order to achieve our goal, I need everyone to work hand-in-hand, look after one another and self.

After my fun yet fruitful time with 6.7, I look forward to another enjoyable & successful 2008 ahead! =)

Cheers! =D
